It’s important to emphasize that we do not apply any form of fire retardant products to our bowls due to liability reasons. Our website does not make any claims about our bowls being treated with fire retardant. Our bowls are treated with a food-safe product that imparts a smooth texture, effectively preventing leaks. We offer our bowls in white, dark brown, and natural wood finishes. Our natural wood bowls remain untreated, providing customers the flexibility to choose how they wish to present dough bowls to their own customers. The natural bowls are in their raw wood state, offering the option for customization through paint or the application of a flame-retardant product for fire resistance and candle safety. However, it’s important to note that fire retardant cannot be applied to our white and dark brown bowls due to the presence of paint. The paint creates a barrier preventing the absorption of fire retardant, compromising safety. If you decide to use flame retardant products, we strongly advise following all instructions provided by the manufacturer.
