It’s important to clarify that we do not apply any form of fire retardant products to our bowls for liability reasons. Nowhere on our website do we claim that our bowls come with fire retardant treatment. Our bowls are coated with a food-safe product, providing them with a smooth texture that helps prevent leaks. We offer our bowls in white, dark brown, and natural wood variations. The natural wood bowls remain in their raw state, allowing customers to choose their preferred approach for offering dough bowls. The natural bowls can be customized with your chosen paint color or treated with any flame retardant product for fire resistance and candle safety. However, it’s important to note that fire retardant cannot be applied to our white and dark brown bowls due to the existing paint. Applying fire retardant to these bowls won’t be effective as the paint prevents absorption into the wood, compromising their safety. If you decide to utilize flame retardant products, we strongly recommend following all instructions provided by the manufacturer.
